This seminar will revisit the question of the relationship between faith and culture. Reflecting on my experience as an Evangelical growing up in the 70's, I will critique the Christ against culture position held by many in the Church during the latter half of the 20th Century and argue for a position of positive engagement with culture (Christ the transformer of culture) for Evangelicals in the 21st century. I will explore some of the practical implications for ministry of those taking up this stance.
